Mikey is ready for a weekend on the farm in Yachats, Oregon.

Assorted animal bones hang from the farm’s gate.

We arrived to find that this was no ordinary farm, but a groove palace, complete with a unicorn flag and outdoor bathtub.

Mikey got to see Matt, his former roomate, for the first time in over three years.

We also made some new friends. Here’s Micah, doing his thing.

Amy gave me a tour of the farm’s 96 acres. Here she explores a ruined barn with her half-wolf, Muffin.

The farm is surrounded by an enchanted forest.
Yachats is beautiful.

Now they can sell skunked wine with this photo on the label. Call it “Dead Truck”.

Melissa, Erin, Mike, and Lucy brought the fire pit to life when the evening started to cool down.

Sometimes cows from the neighboring farm stop by.

Mike cracks out his Polaroid camera too and we discuss the finer points of retro-70’s photography.

Micah is restoring a 1961 Mercedes 190D.

Mikey cooked us a gourmet dinner. Before the feast, his tuna lime ceviche appitizer table was moved into the woods for some outdoor snacking (you can see the foliage coming out of the darkness). The lamp was on an extension cord.

The interior of the Groove Palace – colors, musical instruments, a record player, and lots of paintings.

This is a satellite Groove Palace tree fort in the woods, still under construction.

Here, the grass is comfier than a chair.
I love this farm, and I hope to come back someday.
